#BRGiving – The Novelty in celebration of special days
- Today’s Shelter: Loudoun Homeless Shelter, Leesburg, VA

The Giving Story:
Anu and Abhishek Singh’s family celebrated the weekend by donating freshly cooked food to the local homeless shelter.
The family did the grocery shopping from a local grocery store; prepared the ingredients and cooked healthy lunch for the residents. Then they visited the shelter to deliver the hot and freshly cooked lunch.
The elaborate menu was:
- Fruit platter
- Chicken curry
- Chickpeas curry
- String beans
- Bread/Naan
- Rice
- Salad
Anu and Abhishek said, “We had a great experience. It was our first time doing something like this is US. The kids also felt humble and privileged of what they have been given by God.”
The kids were also part of this noble as well as novel cause. BR is proud to have generous and thoughtful members who are taking every opportunity to instill caring, sharing and charity to their kids at such young age.
