#BRGiving – The Novelty in celebration of special days

The Giving Story:
Lalit celebrated his wedding anniversary and his mother’s birthday by leading this giving event. Best Runners wishes Lalit and Ashi a very happy anniversary and many more years of togetherness. And many more happy returns of the day to his mother, Mrs. Sarala Gupta. May God bless you!
Lalit and his family led the giving event for the week. Murali and Poulami supported him. They planned and executed the plan flawlessly. They purchased grocery from local stores on the prior day. On the event day, they started cooking early in the morning and ensured that the shelter residents get fresh and hot lunch. The menu had chole curry, sautéed greens (string beans, Brussels sprout, zucchini), baked chicken, coriander flavored rice, whole wheat naan, salad, fruits and dessert (kheer – rice pudding).
After the team reached the shelter at 11:15 AM to deliver and serve lunch to the residents. They helped the staff prepared the area by mopping and sweeping the dining area and cleaning the kitchen. They also helped in arranging the kitchen and serving counter by filling the condiments, water jugs, silverware etc. The team had children as well. The residents and the shelter staff thanked the BR team for the delicious and healthy lunch.
BR Team thanks all the volunteers today for their generosity and helping the community. Including the children is a great idea to inculcate charity in them at an early age. May God bless you!
