#BRGiving – The Novelty in celebration of special days

Today’s Shelter: Loudoun Homeless Shelter, Leesburg, VA (Sterling Community Center location)

Total Cost of the event: $60

Number of people served: 25

The Giving Story:

Best Runners has established itself as a group that can be relied on when necessity calls for. The shelter coordinator approached BR to help server lunch on the President’s day to their extended location in Sterling which is a shelter to accommodate excess capacity.

The BR volunteers cooked fresh food – Ghee rice, Chickpeas, Sautéed green beans and brussels sprout, Green salad, Baked tandoori chicken and Whole wheat butter naan bread. They delivered the hot food to the shelter at 11:30 AM. The shelter coordinator responded, “Thank you for always being present in the mission to make life better for others. Blessings to all of you. Couldn’t do this without you. ”

BR Team thanks Samhita, Poulami, Richa and Mallikarjun for accepting this request and helping the needy when called for.
